Make sure you have the following packages installed:
- alsa from the 2.6.x kernel or higher
- python-2.5.2 or higher
- gtk+-2.16.x or higher (gtk2-engines on some distros)
- pygtk-2.14.1 or higher (python-gtk2 on some distros)
- pyalsa-1.0.24

Have a look at the README file and tell me if you run into any problem (and if you don't . :) )
