THANKS!!!

I guess during the upgrade process my xorg file was altered. So - I went in
and just commented out the lines concerning DRI - and it works again.
Thanks so much! 

I also want to thank the guys over at the comp.os.linux.suse group for
giving suggestions - but this is the one that worked.
